Spanish airports of general interest are heritage infrastructures owned by AENA SME S.A. (AENA) with a clear purpose, i.e. to facilitate air transport for users. For this reason, these facilities are built, maintained and modified for the sole purpose of being used exclusively by travellers and their companions, as well as by companies duly authorised by AENA to provide different types of services to passengers.
Nowadays, airports are also configured as intermodal transport stations, which allow travellers to move from one mode of transport —air transport— to the various existing modes of land transport: train, underground, buses, taxis, rented vehicles, with and without drivers, private vehicles and any other form of transport that users require for their mobility.
The attached document sets out the rules for airport use.
